Performing together since 1997, this duo consists of the husband and wife team of Danny and Linda Trusty. A guitar player for 50 years, Danny also plays clawhammer banjo, mandolin, fiddle, and many other instruments. Linda plays the upright bass, auto-harp, and guitar. Both sing lead and harmony vocals and often switch parts on many of their songs.

They play acoustically in the styles of old-time, bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, blues and country. The Trustys arrange their own music and have a unique style that has been popular at many bluegrass festivals, fairs, banquets, churches, corporate gatherings, and other venues in the Southeast. They have also performed numerous shows in prisons both in Mississippi and Louisiana.

The Trustys have released three CD’s, “Reaching For Your Hand” recorded in 2001, “Creatures, Characters, Celestial Celebrations” recorded in 2003, and “Ain’t Nothing As Good As You” recorded in 2005. They are also talented songwriters and several of their compositions are included in both their recordings and live performances. In addition to their weekly jobs, Danny as a banker and Linda as a first grade teacher, the duo performs forty or more shows annually.

The Trustys have performed for the Mississippi House of Representatives and are currently listed in The Mississippi Performing Artists Roster published by the Mississippi Arts Commission. They were recently selected by the Mississippi Arts Commission to be showcased on the Southern Artistry Registry. This registry spotlights achievements of artists who live and work in the South. This registry includes artists from the nine Southeastern states.
